Getting Started
INITIAL CONTACT: Call Dr. Edward Haraburda of Psychological Sleep Services at 614-767-9354 to indicate an interest in treatment - if you leave a message, you must provide an email address (this is necessary for the secure messaging application that Dr. Haraburda uses to communicate with his clients). No appointments are scheduled until you have completed initial paperwork to help us assess urgency of your situation. You may be contacted after that to schedule an initial session - due to a high volume of people reaching out for treatment, there is a chance you may not be contacted to schedule. Because of this, once people reach out to this practice they will be sent some additional resources to help them with their sleep issues.
WHAT TO EXPECT: At Psychological Sleep Services, the treatment of insomnia begins with a comprehensive evaluation of your sleep issues that typically takes 1-2 sessions. If insomnia is the key concern, the treatment typically involves 4-6 additional sessions, which can be completed over a 2-3 month period. More complex cases can take significantly longer.
RATES:
Vary depending on session length and purpose (e.g., initial assessment, treatment).
INSURANCE:
Dr. Haraburda is on a significant number of insurance panels (Medicaid is one exception). For more information, please contact the office.
He can also serve as out-of-network provider for other insurance plans. Your insurance out-of-network benefits (if applicable) may pay a significant portion or the full amount of your fee. Using your healthcare spending account to pay for treatment is another possibility. Even without insurance benefits, carefully consider the costs of not trying this approach, such as
PAYMENT:
Cash, check and all major credit cards are accepted for payment.

- Relying on sleep medication indefinitely and dealing with their potential side effects as well as ongoing costs for medication and provider charges. In addition, sleep medication will likely not provide the same quality of sleep that CBT-I can.
- Continuing to suffer the untreated toll of insomnia such as fatigue, irritability, concentration difficulties as well as a host of negative effects on your health.

FORMS: A thorough assessment is the first step in getting your sleep and/or other behavioral health issues addressed. Dr. Haraburda uses a secure HIPPA-compliant web portal to collect information prior to clients coming in for initial appointments, as well as later in treatment - this saves much time in session and allows people to start sleeping and functioning better more quickly. If you end up scheduling an appointment, Psychological Sleep Services will send you an email invitation to the web portal.
